Throstle Farm Junior,  Infant and Nursery School  is a semi-open plan school which was re-organised in 1987 from the former first and middle schools on the same site.  We cater for approximately 90 children between the ages of 3 and 11.

The school is situated on the outskirts of Knottingley which is 3 miles from Pontefract and 14 miles from Wakefield.  The school draws children from the Warwick Estate and surrounding areas.

The school building accommodates 4 classes each having a shared area for group work and play provision.

We have a 26 place morning Nursery and we also provide Daycare failities in the afternoons.

The school is set in very attractive grounds with playing fields, trees, shrubs and lawned areas.  We also have a large wildlife area, an enclosed pond, bike sheds, an outdoor stage, an enclosed football area and we are particularly proud of our working kitchen garden.
